Bigggly
Bigggly

Bigggly, a giant Pinocchio-type figure 15' high with a 35' long nose. The original 1883 Pinocchio story, written by Collodi, emphasized that the poor wooden boy was duped by conmen, led astray to quit school, became an ignorant donkey and lost everything he loved to cheats, hurting himself and loved ones until he can perform a selfless act of human kindness. This sculpture weighs out the cost of lying so much you can't hold your head up. Lying about climate change, about migrants, that women and LGBTQ+ people shouldn't control their own bodies, lies about science and vaccines, and that our elections aren't viable. So many lies, on a monumental scale- scary, surreal and a bit silly.
